COLT / PRIVACY
Privacy Policy
How Colt handles account, study, notification and advertising data.
Who operates Colt
Colt is provided by Defung Labs. This policy explains how data is handled in the Colt mobile application and on colt.defunglabs.com. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to support@defunglabs.com.
Data we process
Account data may include your name, email address, user identifier and sign-in provider information supplied by Google or Apple. If you use Apple’s private email relay, we receive the relay address instead of your personal address.
Study data includes exam templates, subjects, timers, answers or scores, goals, planned exams, progress, rewards and farm state. Language, theme, sound, haptic and similar preferences may be stored on your device.
Colt uses Google Mobile Ads. Depending on your region, consent choices and device settings, Google may process advertising identifiers, device information, approximate location, ad interactions and diagnostics to deliver, limit and measure ads. On iOS, access to the advertising identifier is requested through App Tracking Transparency. Refusing tracking does not prevent you from using Colt.
How data is used
We use account and study data to authenticate you, sync your records, run timers, calculate results, show progress, operate goals and rewards, and support account deletion. Planned-exam reminders are scheduled locally on your device after you grant notification permission.
We use data where needed to provide the service, protect it from misuse and meet legal obligations. Personalized advertising and access to advertising identifiers rely on the consent and privacy choices available in your region and device settings.
Services and sharing
Authentication and cloud storage are provided through Google Firebase. Sign-in may be provided by Google or Apple. Advertising is provided by Google Mobile Ads and its consent platform. These providers process data under their own terms and privacy notices.
On colt.defunglabs.com, Cloudflare Web Analytics measures page views and website performance through a privacy-focused beacon. We do not use it to build personal profiles.
We do not sell your personal account or study data. Advertising-related disclosures may be treated as “sharing” under some privacy laws; you can limit this through the consent form, iOS tracking setting and device advertising settings.
Storage, security and deletion
Cloud account and study data is retained while your account is active and as reasonably needed for security or legal compliance. Device preferences and scheduled notifications stay on your device until removed by the app, the operating system or uninstallation.
You can permanently delete your account and associated Colt cloud records from Profile → Delete account. You can also contact support for access, correction, deletion or another applicable privacy request. No internet transmission or storage method is guaranteed to be completely secure.
Children, international use and changes
Colt is intended for students who are permitted to use online services in their country. Where parental consent is legally required, a parent or guardian must authorize use. Do not create an account if you are below the applicable digital-consent age without that authorization.
Data may be processed in countries where our service providers operate. We may update this policy as Colt changes; the date above identifies the current version.
